Betsy’s illustration combines a warm feeling of nostalgia and a love of animals with playful humor. While she draws much of her inspiration from childhood memories, she is also clearly influenced by imagery of the past.
Betsy studied Art History (U.C. Berkeley) then settled in France. Her illustration classes at the ENSAD in Paris led to her first publications.
Later on, she studied illustration at Pratt Institute in New York. Now she is back in Paris where she pursues her work as an artist.
