Profile

I was born in 1987 in Spain, In 2007 I started my studies of conservation and restoration of easel paintings in Madrid, where I learned many drawing and painting techniques. When I graduated, I spent one year continuing my training as a curator while working as a freelancer, and after another year I moved to London. There, I worked on my pencil portraits technique as a hobby, and after a year, I enrolled the prestigious Central Saint Martins College, where I studied illustration and practiced digital techniques. Weeks after enrolling, I started working as tutor assistant, helping professor Bill Wright with his photoshop illustration class. Currently, I live in my hometown back in Spain, working as a freelancer illustrator and portrait artist. When I work on a portrait, I like to explore textures, shadows, and shapes, using only graphite pencil and, occasionally, a thin rubber to make highlights. I especially like funny faces and capture every tiny detail.
