Paul Shipper is an Illustrator best known for producing key art and imagery for film, entertainment, and advertising. Born in Manchester, UK, he obtained a BA in Illustration and Animation from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997. Working from his studio in the heart of historic Worcestershire, England, Paul creates art for a multitude of clients. Collector's edition Blu-rays, official style guides, comic book covers, magazine covers, advertising campaigns, theatrical productions, and music albums, including Movie soundtracks. In 2019 Paul became the first living artist to be featured in the ‘Illustration Magazine’ and during 2020 the first artist to be named 'Visual Contributing Editor' for Empire Magazine. His true passion lies in his illustration work for motion pictures with love for the one-sheet movie poster. Paul’s illustration work for film Key Art includes 'The Avengers' and 'Star Wars.' Paul draws inspiration from the illustrated film posters of the Golden Age. He embraces digital painting with a traditional art background utilizing the latest tools and delivery methods while staying true to his classic style. Paul has recently returned to his painting roots and has attributed his growth in artistic expression with traditional mediums heightened by his digital painting experience. Publicly recognised for his art work around the world, Paul has garnered a number of awards, including a prestigious Key Art Award and the LCS Award for excellence in Illustration.
