Biography

Shona studied stop-motion animation at Edinburgh College of Art, and now works as an illustrator in Co. Waterford. Her projects include book publications, murals, and concept artwork, her most recent books being ‘The Moon Spun Round’, a collection of poetry for children by W. B. Yeats, and ‘An Smutag Ghaisgeil’ a Scottish Gaelic graphic novel. She is now working on her own picture book. Her solo show ‘Juniper’ has been exhibited throughout the north and south of Ireland. Additionally, she is the director and designer of Mireog, which sells a range of folklore inspired Irish and Celtic language products. She is also a member of Illustrators Ireland and the AOI.
