Profile

Brian Axtell is a Figurative Illustrator whose work aims to capture people in their most honest and revealing moments. With mediums ranging from oil, charcoal and pastel, Brian has a meticulous eye for subtly in form and color and believes that art should aim to reveal new layers of previously undiscovered truths. ​ After working as a medical illustrator for a number of years, Brian held internal senior illustration positions at Target and Kohl's before branching off as a full-time illustrator. He aims to execute projects on a bold and diverse scale and welcomes opportunities to work with new clients. ​ Brian currently works and resides in his studio in Milwaukee, WI.
