After completing a degree in fine art, Lynda Ward developed a love for animation and travelled from her hometown, Johannesburg, to London in order to study animation and intern at various animation studios. She spent the first ten years of her career working as a traditional cell animator before turning to digital. In the course of her career, Lynda has worked as an illustrator, animator, book designer and publishing production manager at various companies including Maskew Miller Longman, Digital Arts, Videolab and Refinery Post. She has been a successful freelancer for the past six years and is based in Johannesburg South Africa with clients from all over the world. Lynda has worked on a wide range of materials including children's illustration and animation, natural history illustration, educational illustration, commercial and corporate illustration and animation and animatics. Clients have included Kelloggs, Creative Sauce for the Madinat Jumeira, Cisco and Monarchy. This experience has given her the ability to be comfortable working in a range of styles and she likes to develop a dedicated look for each project she creates. She is highly experienced and professional and her calm, can do approach has seen her through many a tight deadline.
