A conceptual illustration about the ancient topic of philosophy: life after death. Cats seem to have many opportunities to come back. Why are they capable of doing so? They cross that door over and over, but we humans can't.

illustration of A conceptual illustration about the ancient topic of philosophy: life after death. Cats seem to have many opportunities to come back. Why are they capable of doing so? They cross that door over and over, but it´s closed to human beings. Keywords: wild, dead, cat, alive, elegance, elegant minimalism, house, pet, pets, youth, lifestyle, Annual Report, medical, americana, digital, dark, darkness, time, black, lives, living, lifetime, existence, love, loneliness, home, hall, transcendental, elderly.
illustration of A crossover. In “2001 a space odyssey” (Stanley Kubrick) a mysterious object gives the first human beings the inspiration for the use of weapons and power. Here I joke with a possible origin of the mysterious object: Darth Vader ( star wars ) the icon of evil, directs the placement of the monolith on Earth. His eyes fixed on his own shadow, projected onto the object of power, in such a way that he seems to be making contact with another entity. The shadow returns the old imperial greeting.
illustration of A digital Illustration depicting Michelangelo Buonarroti, ”The Divine” artist carved out of marble, as his own creator. The icon of the Greek heritage: the doric column, is the block of stone that will be transmuted into Renaissance. Metamorphosis of an sculpture, the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two stages. Man of genius is a hard strong rock. The fire of genius burns beside the cold chiaroscuro of melancholy.

illustration of A review on the Godzilla myth, the terrible irradiated monster who destroys everything in Japan. A consequence of nuclear weapons (atomic bomb). But this time the story flips around and the poor beast emerges from the contaminated water claiming peace. A human army is waiting for him. This is a Planet Earth in war. Keywords: movie, cinema, radiation, pollution, genetic mutation, mutant, black and white, genetics, suit, monster, threat, menace, gloves, contamination.
illustration of ”No one is the fatherland, not even the rider Who,high at the dawn of an empty square
Rules his steed made of bronze through time”...
Illustration on argentine poet Jorge Luis Borges. Forever condemned both animal and human to witness in front of the government house. But in this case, the horse decides to leave the scene and the rider falls. Dignity disappears. An ankle caught in the stirrup shows up the fatal fate: the hero will be raptured and disfigured by the force of the beast.
illustration of A review on the idea of cyclic time. Janus bifrons is given the double knowledge of past and future facts. But he is not aware of his present at all. His youth face is always looking forward, facing his future: the somber and wasted face of his own old age. Only a set of facing mirrors will allow him to see simultaneously both sides of the coin. But here there is a paradox: we are able to watch him in his endless come back to the original point, but we can’t see ourselves in this mirror.

illustration of About the power of meditation on mental and physical health. Mindfulness, transcendental (spiritual) technique or focusing the mind on a particular thought or activity to train attention and awareness, and achieve mental clear and emotional calm state. Some aims: reducing stress, anxiety, depression, pain, increasing peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being. Meditation is under research to define its possible health (psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular) and other effects.
illustration of An illustration on Dante´s hell nightmare, an unpleasant bad dream that can cause a strong emotional response from the mind, typically fear but also despair, anxiety and great sadness. A fancy fairy with a surreal look: his face is a mask with closed eyes, his ears are butterfly wings, the rest of his body are two long human legs. Some keywords: costume, dress, clothing, clothes, blind, false, fake, fly, flying, sleep, imagination, fantasy, invention, ingenuity, daydream, unreal, whimsy mood.
illustration of The falling of the poet through hell, gave us the imagery of an afterlife landscape. An uncanny topography full of fated human beings and evil demons. They make sure to apply the punishment to the poor people. Crowds in sadness and pain. The illustration depicts such deadly sins as: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth or laziness. The Miserable Ones, victims, angry people. A ruthless thief. Fury, violence, lies. The soul's journey towards God according to Catholic Church.

illustration of One of the main themes in Baudelaire´s poetry: Synesthesia: a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. So it is possible to taste an odor with the tongue, or see the color of the music. The poet has the power to see those elements as a reflection of hidden realities laying beyond the senses. Dancing eyes!

illustration of The poem by Baudelaire deals with the matter of fear of death. There is no heaven or hell in afterlife, but we´ll end up fighting once again, finding no peace. So I propose the image of the skinned rabbit with a fur coat as a costume of death: a fake appearance of resting death. illustration of An excessive phantasmagoria made out of a bunch of visual analogies. The pure soul and rotten matter, standing together to be a part of the whole reality.
The main challenge here was to put together a lot of individual symbolisms and conceptual illustrations. Moreover, the biggest achievement in this design was to synthesize such complex topics as: sins, running out of time, synesthesia, unrequited love, religious rebellion, infinity, addictions, melancholy and tricky family relationships.
illustration of The Fukushima problem, where the natural disaster triggers a much greater problem. I came up with the absurd idea of a totally flooded Tokyo city, took by giant Koi fish (replacing the traditional Japanese godzila myth, the terrible irradiated monster who destroys everything). The revenge of nature. But in this case a somewhat cynical revenge: in Japan these domesticated fish are the symbol of luck and an icon for the East. But they may also mean genetic mutation and human caprice.
