Profile

Julie Marabelle is a French designer, paper cut artist and founder of Famille Summerbelle. After a creative childhood at a Steiner school, Julie studied Plasticien de l’Environnement in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Supérieur d’Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Arts, Olivier de Serres. She later moved to London and graduated with a First Class degree in Set Design from Central Saint Martins. Julie recently exhibited her work in Tokyo and has been commissioned to create exclusive paper cut maps and artworks for private and commercial clients such as Bonton, Issey Miyake, the V&A, Mothercare, Sainsburys, PanaHome and 72 & Sunny Amsterdam. She illustrated a children’s book for the Dutch publisher Snor. More recently she collaborated with Dutch brand Engel on a tableware collection. Julie is open for commission work.
