Profile
I am an illustrator based in Brighton, down on the UK’s south coast where I live with my little dog, Leo. I love messing about with pencils, brushes and ink – in fact any kind of mark-making is complete magic to me! As an illustrator, my aim is to create impactful images that bring subjects to life with colour, texture and my hand-drawn style. I am heavily influenced by alternative comics, Pop-art and old-fashioned schoolbook illustrations – think Daniel Clowes meets Claes Oldenburg meets Ladybird books. My previous clients have included Vodafone, Plan International, Virgin Atlantic, Study Group and Sambrook’s Brewery. In 2015 I illustrated my first book, Lundy, Rockall, Dogger, Fair Isle: A Celebration of the Islands Around Britain, published by Ebury Press. In addition to my work as an illustrator I am also an experienced designer and have a sound technical knowledge of print-processes and preparing artwork. Commissioning Art directors can expect a professional, organised approach to projects resulting in playful, unique, hand-drawn artwork.
