Illustrator and writer born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, currently based in Brooklyn, NYC. Emmy moved to NY in 2008 and graduated the BFA illustration program from Parsons School of Design in 2013. After working as a children’s books designer and other miscellaneous art jobs, she became independent in 2016. Today Emmy's interest lies in our relationships with Nature, our selves, and with each other. Her work is an exploration and embodiment of the stories, memories, and experiences that connect us to the natural world and our planet.
