Laura Serra is a in Germany born Illustrator. While her mother and her late father are from a small town in Sardinia, her mom grew up in another small town in France before they married and moved to a small town in Germany where they opened an Italian restaurant. Laura graduated in Germany, finished her 3 year product design apprenticeship in 2003 with the state trade and industry diploma and went on to get a post graduate degree in graphic design, also with the state trade and industry diploma (Industrie- und Handelskammer Baden-Württemberg). After graduation 2006 she worked at various agencies in Southern Germany until she decided to give in to her love for lettering and illustration in 2007 and moved to Berlin to work as a waitress and graphic designer for a non-profit by day and a letterer by night. Since 2017 she lives with her husband Stewf and her cat Florence in Oakland where she works for profit and non-profit companies.
