André Caetano

illustration of For the second year, I had the pleasure of participating in the Braga em Risco collective exhibition.

Each illustrator was invited to illustrate one of La Fontaine's fables, but with a Braga’s monument as the background.
In my case, The Fox and the Grapes, and Mosteiro de Tibães.
illustration of I was invited by @amadoramunicipio to illustrate one of their outdoors for the Covid-19’s prevention campaign.
The sentence that was given to me was:
“Vaccinated or not, don’t forget the protection measures”

I created a short story where I receive a sms from my girlfriend and me and Dentuças, leave the house, to meet her outside, taking the necessary measures.

Photo of the outdoor by @caeirofotografia / CMAmadora.
illustration of “Freshwater wetlands are natural climate solutions to enhancing Mediterranean resilience to climate change”.

Illustration of the Theory of Change, for Wetlands International Europe, a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and restoration of wetlands. Their vision is a world where wetlands are treasured and nurtured for their beauty, the life they support and the resources they provide.

Profile

Hello, I'm André, an independent illustrator with a love for drawing stories! I specialize in creating story-driven illustrations, with creative compositions and strong, dynamic line work. Feel free to browse my portfolio. If you think I'm a good fit, contact me and let's start telling your story! I’m a Portuguese independent illustrator, currently living in Barcelona! I graduated in Communication Design from Escola Universitária das Artes de Coimbra, Portugal, in 2006. Since 2008 I’ve been working with publishers, such as Porto Editora, Edições Asa, Polvo, illustrating and doing graphic design for books, comic books, and graphic novels. In 2021 I decided to tell my own stories as well and wrote, illustrated and published A Little Girl, a silent comic book. I love to learn and I am a curious person! My curiosity got me to do illustrations, short comics, and books to help communicate science, in collaboration with organizations such as the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology.Or the the Department of Lifefrom the University of Coimbra, or the international project Living River.
