In 2006 Philippe de Kemmeter moved with his wife and two little kids from Brussels to the Belgian country side. The rural sounds, singing birds, the music of Elmore James and Tom Waits all are joyful influences for his art. Philippe’s work has a strong following in Belgium, France, and now in the U.S. His children’s books have been translated into Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Danish and Arabic.
