Four maps were designed and illustrated to promote the beauty, wildlife and features of these remote islands of the west coast of County Donegal, Ireland Hand drawn and then digitally rendered. This map is Tory Island, one of the four I have illustrated for the client.

I developed the clients original list of items to be covered into a variety of interesting and engaging games and tasks within each book, resulting in a vibrant and unique way to engage the visitors.

This workbook is aimed at the under 8 age group, and was developed in accordance with Key stage learning criteria, and contains lots of cartoon fish.

illustration of A set of over 80 species were commissioned to create a library for use by the Loughs Agency of  Ireland.  The finished illustrations needed to capture the character of each species whilst also being anatomically correct.  The illustrations were produced by working with the onsite marine biologists who ensured that the final illustrations were just what they required.

This illustrated map shows the woodland walk, complete with indigenous animals, kayakers, and visitors walking around enjoying the bird hide, bug hotel and other attractions.
In a hand-drawn, lively style, with strong colours and lots of hidden detail, the map appeals to visitors of all ages.

Profile

I am Angela McBride, a freelance illustrator, who loves to draw freehand in a lively style. I have many years of experience working on projects from highly detailed maps, educational workbooks for children, and also designing and illustrating for exhibition design. I have a highly creative imagination, and an eye for detail, and would love to discuss your projects with you.
