Matthew Allen is an artist from Southern California. The former Surfer Magazine Art Director is also the creator of clothing lines The Ryde, Brine & Byway and Wavy Days. While much of his fine art and photography revolves around beach and surf culture, his illustration and design work covers many genres. He spends his days creating illustrations for and collaborating with, clients such as Bon Appetite, Pottery Barn, Crate And Barrel, Ron Herman, Fred Segal, Champion, Vans, Lightning Bolt, Melple, Axxe Wetsuits, The Modern Honolulu, Ford Motor Company, Verve Coffee Roasters and the Anaheim Ducks. Most of his other waking hours are spent surfing and making music.
