M.J.M. Winkler is a multi-disciplinary artist in southern California. He carries diplomas in Graphic Design, Illustration and Game Art and has done art and design work for real estate, packaging, and toy & game companies in the U.S. and Asia. His art has shown in galleries across southern California, England, and Upstate New York. His style focuses on the attention-grabbing use of high contrast line work and bright color in a variety of mediums and is best described as creepy-cute surrealism. He is inspired by the work of Ralph Steadman, Tim Burton, David Christiana, and Alex Pardee. Currently he is in progress on an illustrated novel and is most interested in working more on the design and illustration of beer labels and other bottle labels for specialty breweries and e-nicotine companies, as well as book and graphic novel illustration.
