Juliet is an award-winning medical illustrator, using traditional methods to convey the body's beauty and aesthetic value. Juliet achieved 1st Class degrees both in Physiology (Hons, Edinburgh University) and then Illustration (BA, Falmouth College). She aims to bring a creative and personal element to the sometimes cold and clinical world of science, and uses a simple but expressive and fluent line to to give scientific subject after (including the figure) a warmer aesthetic feel. She illustrates science/health/medical reference books, as well as patient information leaflets, conference marketing material, and won an award for her work on the Channel4 series "Anatomy for Beginner's" . Working out of her studio in Fowlers Yard, Durham, she also applies her style to general publishing, book covers, editorial work, maps and travel illustrations.
