BFA: Illustration, Ringling College of Art & Design. MAT: Art Education, School of Visual Arts. Heather currently teachers Art History and Computer Arts Technology at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan. She is also the webmaster, and is training to be the school's Work Based Learning Coordinator who is responsible for student internships. Additionally, she is a teaching artist with the Groundswell Community Mural Project. She has created designs for Kids Footlocker, Whole Foods Market and taught at the Queens Museum of Art. She spends her summers teaching Illustration & Book Design and Cartooning classes at the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts on Long Island. She enjoys riding her bike to work, vegan cooking and contra dancing. Her biggest inspiration is her students and her favorite medium is scratchboard.
