Nosferatu

illustration of portrait of the great Soviet-era composer with elements of revolutionary posters. Originally drawn in black-and-white for my ‘Mariinsky’ exhibition (at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, 2006), it was later used on the cover of a CD of vintage recordings of Shostakovich concertos (from Regis Records). I couldn’t resist re-vamping the image again with my new ‘digital collage’ technique.
