Next illustration of I made the art for the cover of my husband's debut novel. A coming of age story with dark chapters, awakenings, racial divide - where nothing is just black and white. I create a mood/inspiration board before working on a client assignment as it helps to clarify feeling, colors and create the mood. Using elements the client supplies, my own illustrations, art, photos and determining the overarching color scheme.
