Erin Pickering

Blue jays are a symbol of clarity, spiritual growth, and communication. For all their bright blue plumage they can be very difficult to spot in a tree, so sightings are few and far between. I was inspired to paint this after I was stopped by one Blue Jay flying by, only to realize - that the evergreen directly in front of me had a least 3 dozen perched within it's branches.
