Comic Book Horror Series

illustration of This is a large nu-pastel piece that was entered and excepted in a gallery's annual juried art show.
This project is essentially a still life I set up using toys I had from my childhood. The gourds were added latter to the composition along with a few other objects I had in my studio at the time. 
I have done quite a few still lives using toys and unrelated objects from nature as well as man-made objects.
Next illustration of The artwork is a water color painting done on a heavy textured paper. The still life is composed of a variety of objects that are not related to each other. The composition, and how the objects are placed, creates an engaging image. the negative space is populated by the water color paper's texture. There is a book placed on the bottom right that is a old paper back of H.G. Wells-
