I chose Scratchboard to do a portrait of Albert Einstein. I love the intense drama that can be created by the white lines etched into the board that help define the hi lights and shadows. The drawing began as a detailed pencil drawing, then art was transferred to the scratchboard where a transition of the drawing is done in reverse, where what was black is going to be white. I added this to, "Balloon", a self published book of fourteen scratch boards.
