Next illustration of I chose Scratchboard to do a portrait of a political figure. I love the drama that can be created by this medium, white lines etched into the board that help define the hi lights and shadows. The drawing began as a detailed pencil drawing, then art was transferred to the scratchboard where a transition of the drawing is done in reverse, where what was black is going to be white. Politician

Steampunk Tycris is part of my Fantasy artwork categorized in a "Steampunk" series. I took a character, "Tycris" who I created for a fantasy based comic book-"Klaw", and made her a Steampunk warrior. ( Her counter part is a princess.) The artwork began with a detailed pencil drawing followed by a marker comp. The background is a mixed media painting-using a resist process with oil and water-based paints. All the artwork was photographed and composed digitally.
