Mark Levine Studio

American Angst is a political cartoon done using oil pastel. I used a caucasian female figure to best represent America as our country tries to redefine who we are. Womans' rights, Race, and what our flag stands for has all become fair game. The oil pastel, with its rich and bold color gave me the intensity I was looking for. Additionally, I used my drawing abilities to give the artwork a painterly feel.
