illustration of Fantasy artwork series. I have always enjoyed rendering sorcerers and wizards as they render their magic. The artwork began with a marker drawing and a conventional painting using oil and water-based paints. Scanned in for digital remastering. I use Photoshop to add a unique style to the original artwork that combines the digital rendering to the original art. The artwork appears on the back cover of Cold Cuts book 2.
Next illustration of Every Halloween I create a limited edition series of iconic Halloween monsters and images. The Halloween Ghost is a mixed media painting that began with a pencil drawing followed by a ink rendering. The final ink drawing was then finalized as a marker comp and scanned in for a digital composition using a mixed media painting for the background. This artwork was also repurposed for a six piece postage stamp set to commemorate the holiday of Halloween.
