AARP Trolley Art Entry

A Memorial Day tribute to the blue collar workers out there, all the working class heroes. This watercolor and ink piece was painted from a black and white photo of my grandfather in the 1950s. John "Jack" Hartzell worked as a volunteer firefighter in Boca Raton, FL and after moving from "flatland" was involved with the Dahlonega, GA Fire and EMS team. His collection of memorabilia, badges, helmets and axes influenced me growing up. Translating to a love of icons, crests and coats of arms.
