A group of wonderful Neo-natal Intensive Care nurses at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto commissioned me to do a portrait of a family, who after receiving superlative care at St. Mike's for their premature infant, gave back by creating a fundraising event called Malachy's Soiree which raised more than $450K in its first year for the NICU at St. Michael's Hospital. The framed painting was presented at the fundraiser.

Bailey Group commissioned Steven Noble to illustrate the new Yuengling Eagle & Barrel icon which is a proud symbol of the family which has owned the brewery since 1829. D.G. Yuengling & Son in Pottsville also changed its packaging for the first time in 30 years with the new labels being released last April and has since greatly help to propel the band nationally.
The cover art includes several of my botanical illustrations of plants that one can forage and cook with or eat; inside there are 62 line drawings of the featured plants. The hope is that kids can color these in once they've found and eaten that particular plant.

For the 2016 CHESC Conference, directors were looking to showcase forward thinking designs and promotions for sustainability. For this project, I was contracted to develop an idea that centered around new urban design in a 'near future' setting. Because the conference embodied current technologies and design trends, the final illustration consisted of an exploded view of a mixed-use building that showcases a wide range technologies and practices, all in one image.

Full page advertising illustration. Conceptual design, Italian authentic. Client brief included the importance of demonstrating the "authenticity of Italian heritage" attached to the brand. Using the iconic Colosseum of ancient Rome as the conceptual dish from which to serve pasta hits the mark. My signature realistic, yet still a bit painterly, style brings this notion to the level of credibility needed to sell the product. The client was quite pleased.

Illustrations created for The Roosevelts line of officially licensed Rocky apparel. Many of the pieces have yet to be released but my work featured Rocky, Apollo and Mick as well as training montage scenes. The work will be used on t-shirts, button downs, hoodys, stickers, hats and shorts.
Bespoke packaging for Indian teas? Look no further, this melting pot of two cultures was the perfect job for Jitesh Patel. His richly ornate work is inspired by his Indian heritage combined with an English upbringing. He has illustrated 4 maps for this luxury brand, offering regional tea growing in Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra and Darjeeling. With his beautiful pen line and detailed style, Jitesh has created a product that will want to keep, even when tea time is over.
The Kimpton La Peer commissioned me to create a mural for their exclusive private event space on their West Hollywood rooftop. Taking cues from my continuous-line portraits, and muted palette, I worked with them to create something minimal that makes a statement without being overly distracting.

Inspired by Charles Darwin’s seven universal emotions, Andy Singleton has collaborated with design agency Pentagram and photographer John Ross on this series of expressive and intricate paper masks for the London Design Biennale’s identity. Darwin’s theory stated that all humans show a shared universal range of emotions regardless of culture: anger, fear, surprise, disgust, joy, sadness and contempt.

The artwork for this front cover of Simpson’s Sheep Just Want to Sleep!, by author/illustrator Bruce Arant, is rendered in chalk pastel, conte’ and colored pencil on Canson pastel paper, as are all of the book’s interior illustrations. Published by Peter Pauper Press (2017), the book is a sequel to Simpson’s Sheep Won’t Go to Sleep! (Peter Pauper Press 2013). Lighter toned pastel papers were used for this book, to provide a vibrant, sunny, daytime feel.

There were some in Detroit that wanted a RoboCop statue. What I did was to build the image using a 3D program (Cinema 4D). Afterwards, I used Photoshop quite a bit to render this into a more organic.

It’s the turn of the Royal Academy of Dance to speak some hard truths and open up the floor to discussion. They denounce in their magazine “Dance Gazette” stories of abuse and denial in the realm of classical ballet. Accompanying these hard to hear tales, are the powerful illustrations by Deanna Halsall whose approach is both sensitive and impacting.

In 2015 a friend commissioned me to create three portraits of herself in three different guises. This is her 'party' persona.
I used reference photographs to put together an outfit, and to portray her in this stance, and I used several more close-up photographs to get an accurate portrayal of her face.
The Guardian asked Ana Seixas to illustrate their recent article on the gender pay gap. Ana’s conceptual illustrations highlighted just how big the difference in pay is between men and women in most UK firms. Her vibrant, graphic style was the perfect choice for the article.
A story about a selfish crocodile who gets tooth ache and is helped by a mouse, the crocodile then changes and becomes thought full to the other animals. The first picture book I illustrated and most enjoyable. It has become a modern classic. Written by Faustin Charles.

Vari Telleria was commissioned by Cedar for this month's edition of Tesco magazine. Vari was the perfect choice for an article on reducing screen time. Vari pulled key elements from the copy and transformed them into a clever conceptual artwork.

Ben Scruton loved working on Grandpa’s Goalscarers, a fantastic graphic novel for the middle grade market. Written by Tony Lee and published by Franklin Watts, the story follows football mad Ollie. When his own football boots wear out he starts to use his dead Grandpa's boots, which magically fit. Suddenly, Ollie is playing better than ever, helped by his Grandpa's ghost! Grandpa and Ollie get up to some mischief in this brilliant tale, which Ben has captured in his comic style.
Purrmaids: Seasick Sea Horse is due for release in February featuring another magical cover by Andrew Farley. Andrew has brought the fabulous Purrmaids to life in his inimitable style, creating a fabulous artwork for this wonderful series.

Papercut artist Sarah Dennis recently worked with Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital on a very special project. Sarah produced a seek and find activity sheet and a beautiful picture book to entertain and reassure children, whilst visiting the hospital. Both the worksheet and the picture book, 'Follow The Fishes', written by Joanna Bennett are filled with lovely intricate details.

Quercus asked Alice Stevenson to illustrate the cover of Laurie Graham’s brand new novel Anyone for Seconds? Alice not only created this charming illustration, she also produced the playful typography for this light hearted story.
Custom illustration and design for Tallgrass Brewing Company to promote a beer tasting event held at Sunset Zoo in Manhattan, Kansas. Proceeds from the event were donated to the zoo's Hyena exhibit, so they wanted something fun featuring a hyena as well as beer. The graphics were used on t-shirts, posters, and keepsake glassware.
Brief: To create 9 original 'illuminated'-style letters for each play of the Season based upon the themes of each play and incorporating a letter from the name of the play. Also one other 'illuminated' style letter was created for 'The Word is God' (the name & theme of the Season) which incorporated elements from all 9 plays.
Completed in traditional method: inked by hand with a calligraphic nib & black ink on water colour paper. Colour added digitally afterwards.

At each week a size comparison is offered to a commonly seen fruit or vegetable, to better understand the size of the unseen baby. Illustrations were prepared for the Lamaze Website as a tool for pregnant mothers for health promotion during pregnancy.
