Cad & The Dandy

'Bob' the Ram

Previous Image Title

Chris Mitchell

Chris Mitchell was recommended by design firm Otherway to create two illustrative brand icons of a powerful and confident ram to feature as part of the Cad & The Dandy new brand identity. Given this Saville Row bespoke tailors and shirt makers endorse craft expectations in everything they do, the illustrative brand logos were required to project the same attention to high craft, especially with regard to the drawing and style execution.

'Stinky and his mate' is a newly released children's book written by Rik Carpenter and illustrated by Peter Hudspith. The book is and is a very engaging story about the life cycle of flies. Written in rhyme the story chronicles in thirty-one chapters the various trials and tribulations a common fly goes through from birth to death. The story has a lot of humour as well as pathos and should make the reader sympathise with the common plight of those little critters.

In October 2018, the O'Dea Lab of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Insitute performed a field expedition in the southern coast of Panama, on the biggest island in the Central American Pacific: Coiba. There, they spent six days sampling ancient coral reef sediments, by hammering a six-meter-long pipe into the coral bed. Ian Cooke-Tapia was contracted as official reportage illustrator to record not just the daily goings-on of scientific research, but the quiet downtime at the end of every day.

Letha Carrico Culinary Illustration

Full page advertising illustration. Conceptual design, Italian authentic. Client brief included the importance of demonstrating the "authenticity of Italian heritage" attached to the brand. Using the iconic Colosseum of ancient Rome as the conceptual dish from which to serve pasta hits the mark. My signature realistic, yet still a bit painterly, style brings this notion to the level of credibility needed to sell the product. The client was quite pleased.
