The illustration was commissioned by Marc Krusin, London-based furniture designer, for promotional use on his website and across social media channels.
The illustration was drawn in pen and ink on paper and once approved by client it was redrawn digitally. I used Adobe Illustrator to construct the furniture and interiors accurately and Photoshop to apply textures, light and draw other elements using Wacom Cintiq tablet. The images were executed in black only to recreate film noir aesthetic.
Problem: Balancing and considering assumptions to actual experience.
Solution: The illustration creates an abstract balance of pairs—two people, two shapes, two colors, dark and light, etc.

This editorial illustration was commissioned by The Collective Mag to accompany an article discussing acne and feelings of inadequacy in the digital age. The illustration and article aim to lift some of the stigma surrounding acne, myth-busting common misconceptions that people hold concerning the skin disorder and encouraging those who live with it to embrace their skin and believe in yourself.

The Tunnelers—a badger, a groundhog, several worms, and other assorted critters—are all travelers or makers of subterranean passageways.
A pedestrian underpass seems like a natural place for them to be commuting through, while the commute, in itself, is the magical equalizer of the suburbs. Whatever our pecking order or business, even the hungry owls and tempting moles have to tolerate each other while in transit.
