I used tarots as a metaphor for the complexity and chaos of the pandemic issue. I preferred to let the tarots themselves speak. So, I created 12 different tarots. I’ve been producing record covers and t-shirt designs for Brighton rockabilly band the Long Tall Texans since the mid-1980s and they’ve always been a real joy to work on. I’m pretty familiar with the group and the type of imagery appreciated by their fanbase by now but even so, that’s a very open spec compared to most illustration jobs.
