Profile

Originally from Texas, Tom Newsom graduated with a degree in illustration from the Art Center College of Design in California in 1971. His career began as a freelance artist doing portraits at amusement parks. In school, he started illustrating children’s books, which has continued through out his career. Tom is also a member of the NASA art team, and in 1983 he was invited to observe a shuttle launch. Tom currently lives in Kittredge, Colorado, where he maintains a collaborative art studio with his wife and is an active member in the local art associations.
