illustration of Illustration for the prestigious scientific journal Science et Vie Magazine, for an article about our sleep habits and some myths about it. Although the purpose of the article was to refute the idea that we sleep less than before, I wanted to represent that this rest is often at the expense of the use of some medications.
illustration of This album art was developed with pieces of wood that symbolize each band that integrates the compilation. By arranging them in different locations and heights, I generated different letters and numbers, photographed for the cover and the back cover.
illustration of A man sits on the edge of a book with the cover illustrated as the sky.
illustration of A man climbs a stack of books to surpass his colleagues who are stuck in a mundane routine.
illustration of Illustration for the cover of the solo album of the renowned Argentine musician Jorge Araujo
illustration of A woman shouts walking through the street protesting for environmentalism.
illustration of This piece illustrates a quote by Julio Cortázar about life, our speeches about it and the actions we do not dare to execute. An orator and a pool seemed to me the propitious stage to generate a visual metaphor.
illustration of A group of entertainers being ignored by people sitting in the park watching a movie.
illustration of Instruments and objects that you might find in a school - piano, electric guitar, bass oboe, trumpet, violin, apple, mouse, calculator, pens, and sheet music

Profile

Gastón is an illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He made drawing workshops since he was a kid. The caricatures of the newspapers were his first great source of inspiration. Then came the passion for music, and the world of album covers was one of the main reasons why he decided to study graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires. This career paved the way for the exciting world of illustration. He thinks that the concept of a commission is above the style, that is why he enjoys illustrating through different techniques, from vector illustration, through digital collage and the use of textures, even to illustrate through material pieces. He also enjoys playing guitar, singing and composing, and always carries a book in his bag as a traveling companion.
