Profile
John Klossner was born and educated in a small town in upstate New York. After attending college, he moved to Boston where, among other jobs, he was a bellhop, a bouncer, a tour van driver, and a house painter. In the meantime his cartoons and humorous illustrations were appearing in a wide variety of publications in the states and abroad. His cartoons have appeared in, among others, the New Yorker, The Readers Digest, Narrative Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, and he has contributed illustrations and cartoons to over a dozen books. John is featured in a collection of cartoons by Maine-based artists, which will be released by Down East books in spring 2018. He is a two-time nominee in newspaper and magazine illustration by the (U.S.) National Cartoonist Society. John currently lives in Maine with his writer wife, two talented children, and two talking dogs.
