Olivier Balez had been living in Chile for nine years, but he's decided to lay his hat in Angoulême, France, where he lives in residency at the Maison des Auteurs, with his wife and his two daughters. His Bermuda Triangle is located between jazz, crime fiction and poetry. For the past 15 years, he has navigated between children’s books, editorial illustrations and comic books. Olivier also works regularly on book covers and has been collaborating with the French newspaper Le Monde for more than 10 years. For the past few years, he has been working on graphic novels with prestigious authors such as Pierre Christin, Didier Tronchet, Fabien Velhmann and Lewis Trondheim.
