Adele Leyris is a franco-english illustrator based in London. Passionate and inspired by the shapes that nature offers, she spends a lot of time observing and studying what she finds in the wild during her travels before working on compositions. She primarily works with watercolour but sometimes introduces other medias to create contrasts of expression such as digital drawing, pastels or even embroidery! She never leaves the house without her sketch book even during her high altitude mountaineering trips to Nepal, or on the cliff walls of Yosemite USA. Overall her work balances the harmonies of botanical and organic forms with the boldness of modern colours. She is comfortable introducing animation when it is relevant. Adele’s work takes on new dimensions when it expresses the values she is fond of, such as sustainability, animal protection, diversity, inclusion and adventure. She loves working with independent lifestyle brands, everything from organic teas and vegan ciders to natural skincare and ethical fashion. Working with like minded people on meaningful projects that really connect with her is what she enjoys most.
