Martin French is an illustrator based in Portland, Oregon. A graduate of ArtCenter College of Design, he worked as a design director for Microsoft before opening his studio in 1996. His work spans a diverse media context including postage stamps, street murals, picture books, visual essays, & animated commercials. His clients include Apple, Candlewick Press, ESPN, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Joffrey Ballet, Lucasfilm, Major League Baseball, National Geographic, NBA, New York Times, NFL, and The Olympics. His images have consistently received recognition from the leading visual communication organizations across the US, including Gold Medals from the Society of Illustrators in Los Angeles & New York. Martin’s poster designs are central to his body of work and are exhibited worldwide.
