Profile
Christiane Beauregard is an artist, illustrator and designer who lives and works in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her first fifteen years of work were focused on creating illustrations, props and background sets for children’s television, animated films and books for children. In the early nineties Christiane worked on the first visual dictionary completely developed and illustrated in Adobe Illustrator. From that point forward, this software would be her medium of choice. Whether for advertising, corporate, editorial or children, Christiane Beauregard has remained true to her style. The flat perspective so evident in the composition, the whimsy, the poetry and fine detailing are distinctive elements of her work. Even when dealing with very dry subjects she is constantly looking to create a link with human emotion. This is her means to engage the reader into the subject matter. A Christiane Beauregard illustration speaks in metaphors and symbols sought out for their universal qualities.
