Profile

Stefano Vitale is an internationally acclaimed illustrator and artist. While studying for a degree in Economics at the University of Southern California, he often traveled to Mexico and the Southwest. There he found inspiration in the simplicity of the popular local folk art. This influenced him so much that when he completed his economics degree Vitale continued at The Arts Center in Pasadena, California for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Stefano’s oil paintings on wood have earned him international awards and a retrospective of his life’s work in his hometown of Padua, Italy. Stefano is best known for his beautiful folk-style which has earned him numerous awards and a reputation as one of the most sought after children’s book illustrators. After living in the USA for many years, Stefano moved to Venice with his wife Pamela Berry and their two children.
