Profile

Laura is an illustrator and character designer who was born and raised in a city called Malang in East Java, Indonesia. She loves creating a variety of different characters, and people, all while being able to play around and tell a story with them. Laura studied both 2D and 3D animation, but in the end, she fell in love with illustration and character design. She has worked with clients such as Disney, Hasbro, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Cartoon Network, and a few others. Growing up, Laura could be found drawing, doodling, or creating little things (tiny books, tiny dolls, or tiny paper cutout puppets), but as she grew up, somewhere along the way, she stopped drawing. When she was 16, she started creating again after watching The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. It was then that Laura realized she wanted to make art a large part of her life. A few fun facts about Laura, she lives in British Columbia, Canada with her partner and 2 mini dachshunds. In her spare time, when she’s not drawing, you may find her walking the park with her fur babies. Or, simply spending time at home trying to be crafty and make something.
