Chelsea Kuran

Profile

Chelsea is a Canadian-Filipino artist based in Sweden. She grew up just outside Toronto and spent much of her childhood traveling or going on road trip adventures, sparking a lifelong love for exploring nature. While drawing was always her passion since she was little, her artistic journey began during her time as an elementary school teacher in rural South Korea. Chelsea is now happily settled in Sweden and has since illustrated several children’s books. She enjoys capturing feelings of warmth and wonder in her art, often reflecting her fondness for cozy moments, animals and the natural world. As a mixed-race illustrator, she strives to represent mixed race and diverse characters through her work. When she’s not drawing, she can be found savoring a quiet walk by the lake or snuggling up with a good book and a warm candle.
