Profile
Brian Britigan is a Minneapolis-based illustrator, artist, and educator. Born and raised in Iowa City, IA, he studied art and animation at the University of Washington in Seattle before earning his MFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Working as a freelance illustrator since 2015, Brian’s images can be found everywhere from books, magazines, and newspapers to animated documentaries, t-shirts, and gallery exhibitions. His work has received a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators and has received recognition from American Illustration, Communication Arts, 3×3, World Illustration Awards, and a News & Documentary Emmy nomination. He also teaches and mentors at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
