Profile
Margherita Caspani was born in Milan on a mid-August evening in 1999. Not long after, she began drawing, mostly ducks in flight. Today, Margherita works as a freelance illustrator. After graduating with honors in Illustration and Animation from IED Milan, her work has received international recognition in competitions across Europe, the USA, and China. Her achievements include a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators in New York, two World Illustration Awards and two Awards of Excellence from Communication Arts. Every now and then, she still draws ducks in flight. Her projects mainly consist of editorial work and illustrations for brands. Her collaborations include Apple, leading Italian newspapers such as Il Sole 24 Ore, Corriere della Sera, L’Espresso, La Repubblica, and Internazionale, as well as clients like Acqua di Parma, VeraLab, LaFeltrinelli, DeAgostini, FuoriSalone, and Piccolo Teatro. Since 2023, she has been a university lecturer at IED Milan. Sometimes, people describe her inner world as dreamily ironic, elegantly quirky: her work is all about drawing it.
