Profile

Aurelia Lange is an illustrator and animator based in Tarragona. Working predominantly in pencil and ink, her personal practice is an exploration in documenting her immediate surroundings through observational line drawings. Often centred around people, her work represents time and movement through an exploration of line, shape and texture. Her signature expressiveness is maintained when she works with digital media, including vector and animation. Aurelia studied Illustration at MCAD and The University of Brighton. Since graduating in 2008, she has worked for various clients ranging from small businesses and start-ups to charities and larger organizations. Some of these include; Bulb, Bella Union, Hardie Grant, Pan McMillan, Quadrille, and The RSA. Alongside editorial and illustration for print, Aurelia has experience in branding, campaign design, art direction, and animated shorts. Aurelia's passion is observational drawing from life and bringing her subjects to life through energetic brushwork in her mark-making.
