Mathilde Crétier is a French illustrator who studied art and fashion in Paris. After a brief career in the fashion industry, she returned to drawing, a practice she had missed too deeply to leave behind. Since 2012, she has been working as an illustrator for numerous brands and magazines all over the world. Her style is modern, with a strong and poetic use of color. A highly realistic approach gives her work a distinctive and timeless quality. Influenced by her childhood spent admiring master paintings in Italian churches, and later by her love for Impressionist artists discovered in Parisian museums, her work inspires a sense of adventure and appreciation for the beauty of the world. Now living a nomadic life with her family, Mathilde travels extensively, and in her art she captures landscapes, sunsets, forests, mountains, and the quiet poetry of nature.
