Profile
After a degree in Applied Arts, I worked initially as a designer for a retail design consultancy. From there I was approached to work independently on animations for the launch of PlayStation2 and BBC3. However, since 2000 I have focused on my career as an illustrator. My style is eclectic and adaptable though I'm often commissioned to illustrate pretty, beautiful things that contain floral images and decorative patterns. My work has mainly been detailed computer-based vector line work, though recently I have begun to experiment with mixed media painting and drawing, working in layers giving my illustrations more depth. I aim to re-discover pens, pencils and paint. My clients have included BBC3, BT Vision, Cadburys Flake, PlayStation, Kelloggs, Cancer Research, Schaller Cosmetics, style guides for Mattel, The Sunday Times Magazine, Contagious Magazine Computer Arts, Readers Digest and Oxford University Press, among others.
