Profile
Todd Detwiler is an illustrator, designer, and visual artist based in New York City. He hails from Pennsylvania, east of Gettysburg and just north of the Mason Dixon. Todd had a successful career as an editorial art director working for Rolling Stone, Czech InStyle, Maxim, Men’s Health, and many other national titles. He also lead the redesign of Popular Science, rebranding the 143 year old magazine with a modern look, logo, and social avatar. Through his use of clean lines with varied thicknesses, Todd creates accessible graphic illustrations that communicate quickly and with purpose. He loves to add humor when appropriate, or better yet when not appropriate. His work is largely commercial and often highly technical, focusing on popular culture and modern themes.
