illustration of These “reverse” illustrations were created with white on dark backgrounds for a print catalog and corresponding website. Each object was started as a basic mechanical drawing, before creating white outline drawings in Illustrator. The shapes and reflections were rendered in Photoshop. Like glass, each illustration was transparent to some extent, which allowed for versatility in creating ads and product sheets, using many different groupings. fused quartz, labware, blown glass, industry, scientific
Next illustration of This daffodil drawing is the same as the one rendered in Photoshop, but this rendering is vector-based gradient mesh objects. This one is not meant to be as lifelike; this bloom is a bit more stylized. Shading with gradient mesh can produce a depth that rivals that of masking and rendering in Photoshop, but texture is needed to complete the effect in some cases. Which rendering methods are used ultimately depends on the desired look. flower, yellow, nature, jonquil, narcissus, floral, vector
