Thousand years ago, in a jungle in Mexico there lived a king named Kukulkán, who was also a god. He wore colorful feathers like a bird, and his skin glistened like a jungle serpent. Each day, the god-king traveled to Earth from his home in paradise. At sunrise, Night Jaguar crept up the temple steps to sleep. Kukulkán awoke to find baskets of fruit, vegetables, and other foods from the Maya people on his doorstep. Gods, Kukulkan, jaguar, Myth, Mexican, Night, Day, Serpent, Mayan, Herrerias.
