illustration of Kamishibai came from a story my friend, Maki shared with me a few years ago. Kamishibai is a traditional form of storytelling in Japan in the 1920s to early 1950s. The storyteller & sweet seller rides the bike from town to town, drawing young audiences. The storyteller uses wooden clappers to gather the crowd, also to build tension while telling stories.

*Storyteller, kamishibai, bike, portrait, sculpture, sweets, girl.
Next animation of 2020 is the year of mouse! Thinking of mouse, do you think of the track runners in NY subway? As the holidays approaching, it's a perfect opportunity to give the mouse a nice 🛀. This holiday, I get to collaborate with my friend, @nathanfreise, who plays the magical tunes for the animation👂✨
